Storm Response — North Jersey

Storm Took Your Power? We Fix What the Utility Won’t.

The utility fixes the street. The mast, meter box and panel on your house are yours — and they won’t turn you back on until those are repaired and inspected. That’s the job. Wayne, NJ since 1990.

Wire down on your property? Call 911 first and stay away from it. Once it is made safe, we repair the equipment on your house.

The utility can finish your entire street and leave your house disconnected.

They won’t reconnect to damaged equipment. People lose three and four extra days waiting on a crew that was never coming. Get the repair started early.

Questions

The street has power and my house doesn’t. Why?

Because the damage is on your house, not the line. The utility will not reconnect to a bent mast, a torn weatherhead or a cracked meter enclosure. It needs a licensed electrician and a municipal inspection first.

Who pays for it, me or the utility?

You do — that equipment is the property owner’s. But homeowners insurance often covers storm damage to it, so call your carrier. We give you an itemized written quote you can hand to an adjuster.

My panel got wet. Can it be dried out?

No. Water corrodes the bus bar and breaker contacts where you cannot see it. A submerged panel gets replaced. Anyone offering to dry it out and re-energize it is doing you harm.

Can I plug a generator into an outlet to power the house?

Never. Backfeeding pushes current onto the utility line and can kill the crew restoring your street. It also bypasses every protection in your house. You need a transfer switch, installed by a licensed electrician.

What towns do you cover?

Wayne, Clifton, Paterson, Passaic, Totowa, Little Falls, Pompton Lakes, West Milford and the surrounding North Jersey towns.
